- Optimize the enjoyment of our lake for ALL Falls Creek Ranch Members.
- Be respectful of other member’s rights to enjoy the lake, recognize that Members experience the value of this beautiful resource in various ways.
- Self-regulation of Rules.
Important Information
- FCR Lake is private property and for the exclusive use of Ranch members and their guests only. It is expressly understood that FCR members and their guests use FCR Lake year found at their own risk and agree to hold Falls Creek Ranch harmless for any accident resulting from that use.
- NO lifeguards are provided. The use of Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) is strongly encouraged.
- There is an emergency telephone located behind the mailboxes in the mailbox shed.
- Just like on all FCR Common Property, member vehicles parked at the Lake must display the FCR resident sticker and guest vehicles must display a guest hang-tag. As parking is limited, members are asked to limit the number of cars in their party, park at the entrance or the dog beach.
- Members are encouraged to ask trespassers to leave the Ranch immediately. Members of the Board, Lake Committee and/or Common Property Committee may be contacted for assistance.
- The beach chairs are the property of FCRA and should be kept ON the beaches.
- A Quiet Area for members and their guests is located at the northwest section of the Lake. This is intended for those to enjoy the solitude of the Lake away from the bear areas. It is accessed via the West Lake trail starting at the picnic area, horse corral or dry hydrant turnout areas.
General Rules
- Host Members must accompany their invited Day-guests for all activities year round. Guests staying at Members’ homes may be unaccompanied.
- Dogs are welcome at the Dog Beach, Watercraft Storage areas, and at the Quiet Area when it is not being used for respite. Dogs are not allowed at the Main Beach or the Rafts and must be under the Owner’s control.
- Personal property should be removed from the beach areas or stored under the owner’s watercraft. Personal property left unattended will be placed in Lost & Found and will be discarded after two weeks.
- Smoking is NOT allowed at the beaches, storage area or on the rafts.
- Toys, PFDs, paddles and watercraft must be stored in the designated areas or they will be removed from the Lake.
- LEAVE NO TRACE. Remove your food and trash upon departure from the Lake.
- Keep the storage area, beaches and sand clear of rocks and other sharp or hazardous objects. Fill holes and rake the sand after digging and return the rake to the designated space.
- From Memorial Day through Labor Day, there will be a sign-up sheet placed on the Mailbox bulletin board. Members planning to entertain more than 6 guests, are required to sign up at least one week in advance of the event posting their name, number of guests and members, location (Main, Watercraft or Dog Beach) and time (start to finish) of the event. This will server as notice to the membership, so that they may plan accordingly. Groups of more than 10 people, require advance approval by the Lake Committee Chair(s). The Lake Committee will communicate with Members whose events may interfere with the Lake Goals.
Watercrafts
- Gasoline-powered watercrafts are not allowed on the Lake. Quiet electric trolling motors of 1HP or less are permitted. This is a NO WAKE lake.
- All watercrafts are the property of individual owners and are not for general neighborhood use without the express consent of the owners. Watercrafts are required to have a valid FCR registration sticker, which are obtainable from the Lake Committee.
- Watercrafts must be stored in the designated areas between the beach and dry hydrant access area or at the noodle line. Those stored outside of the designated areas will be removed.
Fishing
- Fishing is NOT allowed in the swimming areas, from rafts or main beach and boat storage areas.
- Fishing is permitted with artificial lures and flies only, except that fishing with bait other than minnows is permitted for children under 12.
- Use of barbless hooks is encouraged.
- There is a bag limit of 2 trout per day per fisher-person.
- There is no bag limit on the number of bass per day per fisher-person.
- Catch and release for trout is encouraged.
- No fish cleaning is allowed near the lake.
